THE BEAUTY OF HIS LOVE

“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”

Jeremiah 31: 3 KJV

As I was looking around my home yesterday, I was so happy because the decorations in my home are beautiful. I don’t have the money to decorate my home like I would like to decorate it. However, God has used my sister to decorate my home. Because my sister loves me, she has given me many beautiful things to decorate my home. When I look around my home, I am reminded of the kindness and the compassion of my sister’s heart. However as wonderful as my sister is, she could not decorate my heart.

Only Jesus could have decorated my heart with His cleansing atoning blood for the forgiveness of my sins. Just as the decorations that my sister gave me make my home a place of beauty, so the blood of Jesus makes my heart a place of beauty. When we invite Jesus into our hearts to be our personal Saviour, He decorates our hearts with His redeeming blood and with the beauty of His unconditional love. Jesus is the Master decorator of our hearts.

Jesus is not only the definition of unconditional love; He is unconditional love. The beauty of His love fills my heart with a sweet fragrance. Do you have this sweet fragrance and the beauty of the love of Jesus in your heart or do you have the foul odor and the ugliness of satan in your heart? If your heart is filled with unforgiveness, hatred, resentment, jealousy, criticism and ridicule, it stinks in the nostrils of Jesus. Allow Jesus to decorate your heart with the beauty of His love.
